Chief Minister to dedicate 108 development projects worth Rs. 192.60 crore

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the ‘Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan’ on October 2 from Hazaribag, Jharkhand, to promote the comprehensive and holistic development of tribal communities across the country. To mark this occasion, a state-level event will be held in Rajpur, Balrampur-Ramanujganj district of Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and other dignitaries will attend the event.

PM Modi will virtually participate in the event in Rajpur, and the district administration will arrange a live broadcast of his program at the Government Higher Secondary School grounds in Budha Bagicha, Rajpur block. During the event, Chief Minister Sai will inaugurate 108 development projects worth Rs. 192.60 crore, including the foundation stone laying for the Eklavya Model Residential School in Rajpur. He will also distribute departmental kits from various government schemes to eligible beneficiaries and visit stalls showcasing different government programs.

The Abhiyan will reach around 63,000 villages, benefiting more than 5 crore tribal people in 549 districts and 2,740 blocks across 30 states and union territories. In Chhattisgarh, it will cover 6,691 tribal-dominated villages across 138 development blocks in 32 districts. Under this initiative, the government will work to enhance basic infrastructure, along with launching social and economic development programs. The Abhiyan seeks to address critical gaps in social infrastructure, health, education, and livelihoods through 25 interventions implemented by various ministries and departments of the Government of India.
